However, even in my own family opinions differ vastly, my son and his friend loved these cookies. In fact Boy Mimi made a second batch the next day. He wanted them crispier so he added 1/4 cup more flour and baked them a few minutes longer and his cookies were thin and crispy
While not my favorite chocolate chip cookie, with a glass of milk, these cookies were tasty. Mimi, these cookies look fabulous. I'm a middle of the road choc. chip cookie person. I like mine not too soft, yet not too crisp. I agree, I don't like to see my chips on the outside either. Although it is difficult to acheive that. Now I'm in the mood for a fresh batch. Have a happy Tuesday.

Really fabulous! I saw many bloggers making this today :)
Those chocolate chip cookies look just perfect! Yum!
They look amazing, but I agree, a malnourished chocolate chip cookie isn't a big draw. Luckily there are so many CCC recipes out there!
Oh! Nice chocolate chip cookies...they looks gorgeous!
Mimi, these photos are absolutely gorgeous! I'm glad your son enjoyed them so fun!! I think they look great!!
I prefer mine thin and crispy, so these sound perfect.
well, you've managed to make these malnourished (i love that description) cookies look as good as they possibly can. i'm glad some of your tasters liked 'em. :)
Ooh cookies and milk! That is always a great choice when you're craving chocolate.
Beautiful photos! Glad someone enjoyed them! I gave most of mine away and they were very popular. I found them a bit thin too.
I know these weren't your favorite. But they sure look good!
You've inspired me to bake cookies now, and I'm on a dog gone diet, so no-can-do right now. I LOVE your photography, Mimi! Great work! Ciao, Roz
Malnourished.. funny! They did kinda look that way. But I have a feeling none of us who eat many of them will look malnourished.
I agree with you about the perfect cc cookie! But these do look really tasty!
I could go for one of those chocolate chip cookies right now! I''m sure they were tasty.
Beautiful cookies Mimi. I wasn't impressed with these...too thin for my tastes too.
they look perfect love the pictures
I love that, Boy Mimi. Yep, to each his own. Your photos are great.
I love how the cookies look smooth and bakery-like! I'm definitely a thick yet crispy cookies, with oozing chocolate chunks.,
They sure look good. Sorry they weren't your favs..
I think I'm definitely in Boy Mimi's camp - chocolate poking out is always the way to go,....and thin, and crisp, meaning more chocolate per square centimetre! They look lovely....
yours didn't spread like mine did! i agree, they aren't the best, but they are good.
i did another version that i thought was much better though :)
I'm with you--I like thick and chewy.
These turned out beautifully. I know the texture of these cookies can be quite a point of contention, though! Thanks for baking with me.
un thé à la menthe pour accompagner ces délicieux cookies
bonne journée
They sure do look good to me Mimi! I do like them thicker but that doesn't mean I would turn them down!
Malnourished cookies, lol! Yours look perfect and I'm glad at least one family member loved them. I chopped my chocolate and it got well incorporated in the dough.
Grins. I'm definitely a thin and chewy with the chips poking out. This looks like a great recipe and one that I will enjoy. Thank you for your beautiful post.
Well, these cookies look absolutely gorgeous! It sounds like you have a big fan of those cookies!
French fries are a vegetable? I wish you'd been my mom.
You're right - those poor chips sticking out all over the cookies. So painful to look at. We must put them out of their misery by eating them all.
Malnourished? Too funny. Well, sorry you weren't best pleased with your results, but I would have been happy to take them off your hands! All of them.
I love chocolate chip cookies just the way you do-thick with crispy edges and chewy in the center. However, I don't think I have ever met a chocolate chip cookie that I did not enjoy. I have made some bad batches in my life and I still managed to find enjoyment eating them. :-)
P.S. Your cookies look wonderful.
They look like they could become my best..They look great!
Once again simply stunning photos! Love the cookies on the red and white towel..perfect back drop to show off the cookies!
Hmmm, yes, a glass of milk would be perfect with these.
They sure look good... glad they were a hit with someone in the house.
They look good to me! Although I understand the chocolate chip debate. Everyone always seems to like something different...haha.
Beautiful photos! They look delicious!
Hi Mimi,
Your cookies look divine and your pictures are fabulous! Have a wonderful weekend!!
Hugs,
Karyn
They look so chewy! My favorite! And love the milk in a mason jar. Just like at Grandma's ;)
How can you go wrong with a chocolate chip cookie. Yum!
So if ketchup and French fries count as veggies, can gravy count as dairy? It has milk in it? You know for those tasty fried chicken baskets....
They looked good though. Good enough for me to wish I didn't have this "thing" against baking cookies.
